![]() This was taken at the end of March at 7 Falls along Bear Canyon near Tucson. A superb location. I had gone scrambling up the hill side and was looking back down the vertiginous slopes. The cactus in the foreground is known as a teddy bear cholla. Its spines will penetrate a thick leather walking boot with ease. I got several in my calves during this episode through not looking where I was going. Some of them were still there a week later!
