We are taking a long weekend in San Diego, CA. Today we visited Legoland which is rescued from triviality and commercialism by the quality and wit of some of the sculptures and by the luxuriant and beautifully tended gardens in which the displays and amusements are couched. As a Brit but not an Anglophile this one appealed to me.
